BCL: Igokea m:tel placed in Group H, tough opponents for FMP Soccerbet and Mornar-Barsko zlato in the qualifiers

The draw for the 2023/24 season of the Basketball Champions League was held this Wednesday in Mies, Switzerland and three AdmiralBet ABA League clubs were following the event closely to find out the names of their opponents.

Igokea m:tel are among the 29 teams who have qualified directly for the 2023/24 Basketball Champions League Regular Season, while the boys from Laktaši will start the next-season campaign in Group H where their opponents will be Tofas Bursa, UCAM Murcia and Bertram Yachts Derthona.

The 2023/24 Basketball Champions League Regular Season will start on October 17.

Meanwhile, FMP Soccerbet and Mornar-Barsko zlato will try to reach the regular season stage through qualifiers, while today they found out the names of their opponents on the way toward the group stage.

FMP Soccerbet will face Italian side Pallacanestro Varese in the quarter-finals of the Qualification Tournament 2. If the Panthers eliminate the Italian team, they will play against either Cholet Basket or Telenet Giants Antwerp in the semi-finals.

Mornar-Barsko zlato will play against Spanish side Monbus Obradorio in the quarter-finals of the Qualification Tournament 3. If the Bar troops make it to the next stage, they will play against either Legia Warszawa or Caledonia Gladiators/Fribourg Olympic Basket in the semis.

The qualifiers tip off on September 25. All three tournaments will see eight teams start the competition in a single game elimination bracket from the Quarter-Finals. Only the three tournament winners will advance to the Regular Season.
