Lovro Gnjidić moves from Cedevita Olimpija to Split

Split have completed their first summer transfer as they signed a contract with former Cibona and Cedevita Olimpija guard Lovro Gnjidić.

This 22-year-old point guard started his pro career in Cibona for which he played from 2020 to 2022. After that, Gnjidić moved to Cedevita Olimpija for the 2022/23 season in which he averaged 1.6 points and 1.5 assists per game in the AdmiralBet ABA League.

And in the following season, he will wear the famous yellow jersey of Split.

"I am happy and satisfied that I will play in Split next season, as Gripe always gave me some special feeling. It is a pleasure to play in that hall, in front of an audience that knows what basketball is. I will do my best to justify the club's expectations and I believe that a season ahead of Split and me will bring a lot of good things. I am aware of all the challenges, it will be a special pleasure for me to work with a coach like Slaven Rimac, while I am very happy that many of my friends, young players, are in the team. I am sure that we will all enjoy basketball together," said Gnjidić.

Gnjidić potpisao za Split

Lovro Gnjidić, hrvatski reprezentativac, novi je igrač Splita, stigao je iz Cedevita Olimpije. Gnjidić (22, 197 cm) nosit će dres s brojem 19. Evo što nam je Lovro kazao nakon potpisa ugovora:

"Sretan sam i zadovoljan što ću sljedeće sezone igrati u Splitu, uvijek su mi Gripe davale neki posebni poticaj. Užitak je igrati u toj dvorani, pred publikom koja zna što je košarka. Dat ću sve od sebe da opravdam klupska očekivanja, vjerujem da je ispred Splita i mene sezona, koja će donijeti puno toga dobrog. Svjestan sam svih izazova, bit će mi posebno zadovoljstvo raditi s trenerom kakav je Slaven Rimac, a raduje me što je u ekipi puno mladih igrača, mojih prijatelja i siguran sam da ćemo svi zajedno uživati u košarci."
