Start of preparation period for Krka
Krka senior squad has gathered in Leon Štukelj Sports Hall in the opening practice of their preseason period. The club’s president Andraž Šuštaršić has greeted the players and wished them lots of successful work and plenty of health.

In the forthcoming season, Jairus Hamilton, Leon Stergar, Zeno Edosomwan, Niko Bačvić, Miha Cerkvenik, Isaiah Cousins, Robert Jurković, Jan Špan, Bine Plut, Miha Škedelj, Žak Smrekar, Anže Bobnar and Jurij Macura will be the players to wear Krka jersey. Rok Stipčević, Martin Jančar Jarc, Andrej Stavrov, Mate Vucić and Radosav Spasojević have left the club.
The coaching staff remains the same (Igor Kešelj, Matic Šiška, Matej Gliha), while Marko Kastelic is the new club’s fitness coach.
“I am happy for the fact that we have gathered. The players have undergone the medical examinations and all of them are in good shape. So we can start working. I believe that we have had a good transfer period and now our task is to take advantage of the time and get ready for the new season,” Head Coach Gašper Okorn told.
The team will be practicing in Novo mesto and on 1 September they will start with their preseason games. The first is coming up against GGD Šenčur (2 September).

Začetek priprav za novomeško Krko
Danes je z delom začela tudi članska ekipa Krke, ki se je na uvodnem treningu zbrala v Športni dvorani Leona Štuklja, kjer bo opravila priprave na sezono doma in v regiji. Zbrane je pozdravil predsednik kluba Andraž Šuštarič, ki je vsem zaželel uspešno delo ter veliko zdravja in uspešno delo.
V novi sezoni bodo za Krko igrali Jairus Hamilton, Leon Stergar, Zeno Edosomwan, Niko Bačvić, Miha Cerkvenik, Isaiah Cousins, Robert Jurković, Jan Špan, Bine Plut, Miha Škedelj, Žak Smrekar, Anže Bobnar in Jurij Macura. Klub so zapustili Rok Stipčević, Martin Jančar Jarc, Andrej Stavrov, Mate Vucić in Radosav Spasojević, peterica pa je klubu pomagala do naslova prvaka Lige ABA2 in ekspresne vrnitve v Ligo ABA.
Glavni trener Gašper Okorn je ohranil svoj trenerski štab (Igor Kešelj, Matic Šiška, Matej Gliha), vlogo fizioterapevta pa je prevzel Marko Kastelic.
„Vesel sem, ker smo se zbrali. Igralci so opravili zdravniške preglede, vsi so v dobrem stanju. Zato lahko začnemo z delom. Menim, da smo dobro kadrovali. Zdaj pa je naša naloga, da izkoristimo čas in se pripravimo na novo sezono,“ je povedal glavni trener Gašper Okorn.
Ekipa bo trenirala v Novem mestu, po 1.9. pa začela z igranjem pripravljalnih tekem, uvodoma proti Šenčurju (2.9.).
