#FIBAWC: Serbia advance to the quarter-finals
Serbia have joined Slovenia in the 2023 FIBA World Cup Quarter Finals.

Serbia will play in the 2023 FIBA World Cup Quarter Finals as they defeated Dominican Republic by 112:79 in the final round of the second phase of the competition. The Serbian team showed great reaction after that tough loss against Italy and they completely outplayed Dominican Republic in the direct battle for a place in the quarter-finals.
Team captain Bogdan Bogdanović was the top scorer in Serbian team with 20 points, while Vanja Marinković and Nikola Milutinov made 16 points each.
Serbia will face Lithuania in the quarter-finals.
Slovenia will enter the quarter-finals stage as the 2nd placed team from Group as they lost the battle for the 1st place in group against Germany. Despite excellent opening quarter in which Slovenia gained a 14-point lead, Germany have quickly turned the things around and eventually scored quite a comfortable win – 100:71.
Slovenia will face Canada in the quarter-finals.
Montenegro have finished their 2023 FIBA World Cup journey with a win over Greece – 73:69. Nikola Vučević presented another great performance as he scored 19 points to guide his team toward the victory. Montenegro have therefore finished the tournament at the 12th place.
