Luka Božić (Zadar) was the MVP of Round 5 and that was his 3rd MVP of the Round award in a row in this season. Since the start of the ABA Liga j.t.d. only former Cedevita player Miro Bilan has managed to claim three MVP of the Round awards in a row back in the 2015/16 season. Before that, three more players have managed to have the highest index rating in a single round three weeks in a row. Those are Dejan Milojević back in the 2003/04 season, Luka Žorić in the 2010/11 season and Aleksandar Ćapin in the 2012/13 season.
Božić scored 35 points last weekend which is the 2023/24 season record, while he scored 7 three-pointers along the way which is also the season record. On top of that, his index rating of 43 is also the record for the 2023/24 season.
Jaka Blažić (Cedevita Olimpija) has made progress on the All-Time Free Throws Made list. Blažić made 8 free throws in the last round and has therefore reached a total number of 595 free throws made. Blažić skipped Nebojša Joksimović (593), while he now shares the 6th spot on this list with Marino Baždarić.
Speaking about Cedevita Olimpija and free throws, we should also mention that the Ljubljana side were 34/35 (97,14%) from the free throw line last weekend and therefore the Dragons set the new all-time record for the best FT% with 30 or more FT attempts in a single game.
Klemen Prepelič (Cedevita Olimpija) marked his return to the AdmiralBet ABA League with 13 assists which is the new Cedevita Olimpija single-game record in the regional league. The previous club’s record was held by Luka Rpnik and Codi Miller-McIntyre who made 11 assists in a single game.
We should also add that Klemen Prepelić has reached a 200+ assists made milestone in the regional league.
Miha Škedelj (Krka) has played his 100th game in the AdmiralBet ABA League. He has played all 100 games for Krka.
Tay Waller (Mornar-Barsko zlato) has reached a 500+ FG Made milestone. He is only the 4th foreign player to make 500+ field goals in the regional league, after Aliaksei Lashkevich (594), Jacob Pullen (563) and Justin Cobbs (507).
And there is one more thing about Waller. Mornar-Barsko zlato sharp shooter has made it to the Top 20 of the All-Time 3-Pointers Made list as he is now tied with Ognjen Dobrić (259) at the 20th position.
