EL: Crvena zvezda Meridianbet lose the thriller in Barcelona
The Belgrade team were very close to stun the mighty opponent, however at the end they suffered a narrow defeat after a thrilling ending.

Crvena zvezda Meridianbet suffered away defeat against FC Barcelona in Round 7 of the 2023/24 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. This was perhaps the best performance of the Belgrade side in the ongoing European campaign and they were very, very close to stun one of the best teams on the continent on the road… However, a series of mistakes made by the red-and-white troops in the final moments of the match cost them the precious win this evening in Barcelona.
At the score of 76:75 for FC Barcelona and with 4 minutes left to be played in the match, Crvena zvezda Meridianbet had three chances to take over the lead… Yet, the red-and-whites missed all those 3 opportunities.
Even then, Zvezda managed to tie the score at 78:78, with a bit over minute-and-a-half left on the game clock, but then FC Barcelona made the key 5:0 run to definitely seal the win in this game.
Crvena zvezda Meridianbet now have the overall score of 2-5 in the 2023/24 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
