Split beat Mega MIS at home to get their fourth win of the season

Game recap: Split put together a terrific second-half performance to beat Mega MIS at home to get their fourth win of the 2023/2024 AdmiralBet ABA League season. 

It was a close first half, Mega MIS stuck around throughout the first 20 minutes they even took a 2-point lead to the halftime break after a buzzer-beating three-pointer from Petar Kovačević to end the half. Both teams were sluggish in the third quarter, but Split overturned the result and took control of the lead heading into the final 10 minutes of the game. Split put together a fantastic fourth quarter to run away with the game and secure another homecourt win. 

Key moment: The first five minutes of the fourth quarter were crucial for Split, after taking over the lead in the third, they continued to ride that momentum at the beginning of the final Q. The hosts made an 11:2 in the opening minutes of the final quarter to answer the question of the winner at the end of the game. Mega MIS could not recover from this point on, Split even held a 20-point lead following this run. 

Man of the match: Shannon Shorter put together his best game since returning to Split earlier in the season, he led his squad to victory scoring a game-high (tied with Toni Perković) 20 points to go along with 4 rebounds and 6 assists. 

Can't hide the stats: Split did a good job controlling the defensive glass tonight, they out-rebounded Mega MIS 33:23 and all 10 more rebounds came on the defensive glass. Split had 3 players to finish the night with 5+ rebounds.
