Game recap: Igokea m:tel has gotten a big away win against Cibona to secure a spot in the 2024 AdmiralBet ABA League playoffs.
The first half was a close one, neither team could pull away with a significant lead. Igokea m:tel was the better team in the first quarter outscoring the hosts 15:22 but in the second half Cibona would cut into the Igokea m:tel lead and took a minimal 1-point advantage into the halftime break.
Igokea m:tel regained control of the game in the third quarter, Cibona would put in an effort in the final quarter to try and make a late run but unfortunately for them, Vladimir Jovanović's squad would hold on and secure their second straight win.
Key moments: Cibona cut the Igokea m:tel lead to just 4 with 2 minutes of the game remaining. It was an uneventful minute following that as the next points wouldn't come until the final 47 seconds of the game when Marko Jeremić hit a wide-open dagger three to secure the win and a ticket to the playoffs.
Man of the match: Mario Nakić had a great game for Igokea m:tel, he finished the night with a team-high 16 points to go along with 4 rebounds.
Can't hide the stats: The fast break was a difference between the two teams tonight, Igokea m:tel scored exactly the amount of fast break points they needed, they outscored Cibona on the fast break 11:4.
