Game recap: Crvena zvezda Meridianbet are the first team to advance to the 2023/24 AdmiralBet ABA League Finals as they won the semi-final series vs. Mega MIS by 2-0.
After a convincing win in Game 1 at home court (103:73), Crvena zvezda Merdianbet dominated Game 2 as well, this time on the away court, as they won the match in Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall by 94:69 to progress to the next stage.
The red-and-whites had a bit of a slow start as Mega MIS opened the game by a 9:0 run, while the Pink troops finished the 1st quarter with a 7-point lead – 26:19. But, from that moment the visiting side took over the control over the match.
Crvena zvezda Meridianbet won the 2nd quarter by 28:11 to take over the lead already by halftime, while in the rest of the match the away squad kept pushing forward and never looked back. Zvezda have extended their lead to 23 points until the end of the 3rd quarter, so the final 10 minutes of the game was just a routine finish for the 1st placed team in the regular season.
Crvena zvezda Meridianbet will now start preparing for their 9th consecutive AdmiralBet ABA League Finals in which they will have a home-court advantage and in which they will face either Partizan Mozzart Bet or Budućnost VOLI.
On the other side, Mega MIS have finished their 2023/24 AdmiralBet ABA League journey and despite they did not reach the Finals they can be very proud on everything they have achieved in the past year.
