David Škara signs for Split, Krešo Ljubičić extended
David Škara signs a two-year deal with Split while Krešo Ljubičić will spend another season dawning the yellow jersey.

203cm tall forward, David Škara is the latest Split signing, he signed a two-year contract. After spending his youth years playing for Zadar, David went to university in the USA, and he spent most of his Pro career in France, where he has been playing since 2020.
- I am extremely looking forward to coming to Split, where there is a positive atmosphere and I am glad that I will be a part of it. For me, this is a new challenge, a long time has passed since I left Croatian basketball. I am looking forward to jointly building a successful story and good results because the club with a glorious past like Split and the fans deserve it - said Škara.
Along with the arrival of Škara, KK Split extended the contract with center Krešimir Ljubičić for another season.
- I am glad that I am staying in Split for another year. I quickly agreed on everything with the club and the coach, already halfway through the season, I have their trust and I feel great in Split, I have a great desire to return that trust with one of the trophies next season - said Ljubičić.

David Škara, 29-godišnji krilni centar visok 203 centimetra novi je igrač Splita, potpisao je dvogodišnji ugovor. Nakon mlađih kategorija provedenih u redovima Zadra David je otišao u SAD na sveučilište, a najveći dio europske karijere proveo je u Francuskoj u kojoj je igrao od 2020. godine. Godinama se govorilo o njegovom povratku na hrvatske parkete, a sada je došlo i do realizacije. Na Gripama će nositi dres s brojem 24.
- Izuzetno se radujem dolasku Split u kojem pozitivna atmosfera i drago mi je što ću biti dio toga. Za mene osobno ovo je novi izazov, dugo vremena je prošlo otkako sam otišao iz hrvatske košarke. Veselim se zajedničkom građenju jedne uspješne priče i dobrim rezultatima, jer klub slavne prošlosti kakvu ima Split i navijači to zaslužuju - kazao je Škara.
Paralelno s dolaskom Škare KK Split je produžio ugovor na još jednu sezonu s centrom Krešimirom Ljubičićem.
- Drago mi je što ostajem u Splitu jos jednu godinu. S klubom i trenerom sve sam brzo dogovorio vec na polovici sezone, imam njihovo povjerenje i osjećam se odlično u Splitu, imam veliku želju vratiti to povjerenje jednim od trofeja iduće sezone - rekao je Ljubičić.
