Krka extended cooperations with Špan and Bačvić
In the forthcoming season, guards Jan Špan and Niko Bačvić will continue to wear the jersey of Krka Novo mesto.

“I am happy to be coming back and that I will continue to wear the Krka jersey for the third season in a row. I will give all I can in order for us to achieve the good results in the coming season and that we will be able to do it in front of the full stands,” Jan Špan told, as he is looking forward to the continuation of the Novo mesto chapter of his career.
Niko Bačvić added: “I am proud to keep wearing the Krka jersey and to be representing the colours of our club. We will open the new season ready, motivated and stronger. Your support from the stands means a lot to us, so I would like to invite you, dear fans, to join us in the games that are ahead of us and to support us with your energy and cheering.”
Jan Špan started his sporting path in Litija, where he played between 2007 and 2010. After a season spent at Olimpija he moved to Maribor (2011/12), from where he moved on to Slovan (2012/13) and Portorož (2013/14). Nin years ago he tested his skills for the first time abroad, at the Estonian side Rakvere Tarvas. After returning to Slovenia he played for Šenčur, Zlatorog Laško and two seasons for Petrol Olimpija. He used to play for the German side Crailsheim Merlins, for the Spanish side Gipuzkoa and Greek side Larissa. Since 2022 he is a member of Krka, with which he won the NLB ABA League 2 championship trophy in 2023. With good performances for the Novo mesto side, he pawed his way back into the Slovenia National Team. Last season he has topped the AdmiralBet ABA League stats category of assists with 177 of them dished out in total (6.8 per game). He appeared in 26 games, having averaged 30.6 minutes, 12.7 points, 2 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game.
Niko Bačvić used to play for the Radenska Creativ Sobota between 2013 and 2017 and moved to Slovenske Konjice afterwards for one season. Between 2018 and 2020 he used to play for Mesarija Prunk Sežana, while between 2020 and 2022 he was a member of Ilirija Ljubljana. After having spent another season at Kansai Helios Domžale, he moved to Novo mesto the next season. In his maiden AdmiralBet ABA League season, he has been averaging 14 minutes, 2.2 points, 2.6 assists and 1.2 rebounds per game.

Krka podaljšala sodelovanje s Španom in Bačvićem
V novi sezoni bosta dres Krke nosila tudi branilca Jan Špan (189 cm, 1992) in Niko Bačvić (191 cm, 1997).
„Vesel sem, ker se vračam in da bom še tretjo sezono nosil dres Krke. Dal bom vse od sebe, da dosežemo dobre rezultate v prihodnji sezoni pred polnimi tribunami,“ se je nadaljevanja v kariere v Novem mestu razveselil Jan Špan.
„Ponosen sem, da bom še naprej nosil dres Krke in zastopal barve našega kluba. Novo sezono bomo odprli pripravljeni, motivirani in močnejši. Vaša podpora s tribun nam pomeni ogromno, zato vas, dragi navijači, vabimo, da se nam pridružite na prihajajočih tekmah in nas podprete s svojo energijo in navijanjem,“ pa je pristavil Niko Bačvić.
Jan Špan je svojo športno pot začel v Litiji, kjer je igral med letoma 2007 in 2010. Po sezoni pri Olimpiji je šel v Maribor (2011/12), od tu v ljubljanski Slovan (2012/13) in Portorož (2013/14). Pred devetimi leti se je prvič preizkusil v tujini – postal je član estonskega kluba Rakvere Tarvas. Po vrniti v Slovenijo je igral za Šenčur, Zlatorog Laško in dve sezoni za ljubljansko Olimpijo. Bil je tudi član nemškega prvoligaša Crailsheim Merlins, za tem je igral še v Španiji (Gipuzkoa) in Grčiji (Larisa). Od leta 2022 je član Krke, s katero je leta 2023 postal prvak Lige NLB ABA2. Z igrami v dresu novomeškega kluba se je vnovič prebil v člansko reprezentanco. V lanski sezoni je bil s kar 177 podajami tudi prvi asistent Lige ABA, kjer je v minuli sezoni zaigral na vseh 26 tekmah (po 30.6 minute, 12.7 točke, dva skoka in 6.8 podaje na tekmo).
Niko Bačvić je med letoma 2013 in 2017 nosil dres Radenske Creativ Sobota, potem se je za eno sezono preselil v Slovenske Konjice. Dve leti (2018-2020) je bil član Mesarije Prunk Sežana, naslednji dve leti (2020-2022) pa Ilirije Ljubljana. Po letu dni v domžalskem Heliosu je lani prišel v Novo mesto. V svoji premierni sezoni v Ligi ABA je igral po 14 minut, v tem času pa 2.2 točkama dodal po 2.6 podaje in 1.2 skoka na tekmo.
