PRESEASON: Victories for Split, Cibona and SC Derby

Six AdmiralBet ABA League teams played their prep games this Friday evening. Split, Cibona and Zadar were victorious, while Cedevita Olimpija, Igokea m:tel and Zadar suffered defeats.

Split scored their second win in the ongoing preseason as they defeated Petro de Luanda by 81:71. Split’s top scorers in today’s match were their two summer signings David Škara with 28 points and Barret Benson who finished the game with 17 points.

Cibona qualified for the Final of the “Dubrava Cup“ friendly tournament as they beat NLB ABA League 2 side Cedevita Junior in the semis by 75:70. Once again, the newcomer was the top scorer in the AdmiralBet ABA League team as Toni Ročak led the Wolves toward the win with 18 points.

SC Derby continued with great results in the preseason after scoring their 5^th win this summer. The Podgorica side prevailed over Enisey Krasnoyarsk by 75:63.

Meanwhile, Cedevita Olimpija were defeated by the reigning European champions Panathinaikos Aktor – 76:81. Dewayne Stewart Jr. scored 14 points for the Ljubljana side, while Aleksej Nikolić, Brynton Lemar and DeVante' Jones made 11 points each.

Igokea m:tel suffered defeat in the match against U-BT Cluj-Napoca – 85:87, despite another amazing performance by their summer signing Bryce Jones who scored 27 points today.

Zadar lost the friendly match against Falco KC Szombathely – 72:81. Karlo Žganec was the top scorer in the white-and-blue team with 18 points, while Zadar’s summer signing Amar Gegić once again reached double digits in scoring as he made 13 points this evening.
