Game recap: SC Derby got a good start to the new season after they beat AdmiralBet ABA League newcomers Spartak Office Shoes in Podgorica. 

It was a back-and-forth game throughout but SC Derby did have a slight advantage tonight. Spartak Office Shoes held a 4-point lead after the first quarter following a 8:0 run in the final 2 minutes. SC Derby woke up in the second quarter, they were on fire offensively, scoring 34 points and building an 8-point lead by the halftime break. The third quarter was a low-scoring period, Spartak cut the SC Derby lead by just 1, and both teams combined for 27 points in the quarter (13:14). In the final quarter Spartak Office Shoes would keep fighting, they managed to tie up the game with 2 minutes remaining in the game but SC Derby managed to lock them down following that and ended up claiming the win. 

Key moments: After Spartak Office Shoes tied up the game with 2 minutes remaining, SC Derby went on a crucial 8:0 run. On the defensive end, they put up a big effort, didn't allow Spartak Office Shoes to score a basket, and forced 2 turnovers. 

Man of the Match: Erick Neal had a great return for SC Derby, he came back to the team and provided them an 18-point and 5-assist performance helping them get the win in their first game of the season. 

Can't trick the stats: Turnovers were a big issue for the visitors from Subotica, they turned the ball over 17 times and that resulted in 25 points of turnovers for SC Derby.
