Budućnost VOLI are still winless in the 2024/25 BKT EuroCup regular season as they suffered defeat against Dreamland Gran Canaria at home in Round 2 – 86:89.

The Podgorica side managed to come back from a difficult situation two times in this match, both times thanks to Yogi Ferrell. However, at the end, it was Ferrell who missed two key 3-pointers that would have saved Budućnost VOLI the third time tonight.

The blue-and-whites firstly survived the last moments of the 4th quarter in the most incredible way. The home team was down by 78:81 and Yogi Ferrell missed his 3-point shot with just a few seconds remaining on the game clock. Yet, Ferrell somehow managed to grab the offensive rebound, while a moment later he was fouled while attempting a 3-point shot. He made all of his 3 free throws to force overtime – 81:81.

Budućnost VOLI once again found themselves in a very difficult situation as they were down by 83:86, with less than a minute remaining in overtime, but then Yogi Ferrell made a 3-point shot to tie the score – 86:86.

However, on the other side of the court, former Cedevita player John Shurna made a corner 3-pointer to once again put the visiting side up by three – 86:89.

In the final moments of the game, Yogi Ferrell tried to save Budućnost VOLI one more time, but he missed two 3-point shots one after another in just couple of seconds and the score remained 86:89.
