Andrija Stipanović returns to Stožice
Cedevita Olimpija has strengthened its frontcourt by adding Andrija Stipanović to their squad. After a bit more than four years, Stipanović is therefore coming back to Stožice, as he signed with the Ljubljana club until the end of the 2024/25 season.

Ahead of the remainder of the 2024/25 season, the Cedevita Olimpija senior squad got reinforced in the center position with Andrija Stipanović, who used to play for the Dragons before in the 2019/20 season and before that, he used to play for Cedevita Zagreb. Stipanović spent the initial part of the season with Lietkabelis and has signed with Cedevita Olimpija until the end of the current season.
“It is a beautiful feeling to come back to Cedevita Olimpija after four years. I am also happy for the fact, that I have seen a couple of familiar people again. I know everyone in the club and I am happy to be here. I hope that we finish the season well. The club staff is fantastic, the team is good and I am looking forward to the forthcoming challenges. I hope I can help the team in the best possible way,” Andrija Stipanović told upon return to the Dragon’s Lair.
Andrija Stipanović has been present in the professional basketball for almost two decades and in his career the played for Hermes, Split, Liege, Caserta, Cremona, Oostende, Trabzonspor, Demir, U-BT Cluj-Napoca, Lietkabelis, Cedevita Zagreb and in the 2019/20 season for Cedevita Olimpija. In 2017 he lifted the ABA Super Cup trophy with Cedevita Zagreb and was named MVP of the tournament.
This season, Stipanović has been participating in the BKT EuroCup with Lietkabelis and has been averaging 11 points, 7.2 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game in a bit less than 24 minutes of playing time on average.

V Stožice se vrača Andrija Stipanović
Na igralnem položaju centra bo člansko zasedbo Cedevite Olimpije v nadaljevanju sezone okrepil Andrija Stipanović, ki se po malo več kot štirih letih vrača v Stožice, z ljubljanskim klubom pa je podpisal pogodbo do zaključka sezone 2024/25.
Pred nadaljevanjem tekmovalne sezone 2024/25 se je članska zasedba Cedevite Olimpije na igralnem položaju centra okrepila z Andrijo Stipanovićem, ki je v dresu ljubljanskih Zmajev že igral v sezoni 2019/20, bil je tudi član zagrebške Cedevite, začetek aktualne sezone pa je preživel v dresu Lietkabelisa. Stipanović je z ljubljanskim klubom podpisal pogodbo do zaključka sezone.
"Lep občutek se je vrniti v Cedevito Olimpijo po štirih letih. Vesel sem tudi, da sem videl kar nekaj znanih obrazov. Poznam vse v klubu, srečen sem, da sem tu. Upam, da bomo dobro zaključili sezono. Osebje kluba je fantastično, ekipa je dobra, veselim se prihodnjih preizkušenj. Veselim se novih izzivov in upam, da bom ekipi pomagal po svojih najboljših močeh," je ob vrnitvi v zmajevo gnezdo povedal Andrija Stipanović.
Andrija Stipanović je v profesionalni košarki prisoten že skoraj dve desetletji, v svoji karieri pa je med drugim igral za Hermes, Split, Liege, Caserto, Cremono, Oostende, Trabzonspor, Demir, Cluj, Lietkabelis, zagrebško Cedevito ter v sezoni 2019/20 tudi za Cedevito Olimpijo. Leta 2017 je z zagrebško Cedevito osvojil naslov Superpokalnega prvaka Lige ABA in bil obenem izbran za najkoristnejšega igralca Superpokala Lige ABA.
V tekmovalni sezoni 2024/25 je Stipanović v Evropskem pokalu igral za Lietkabelis, na parket pa je stopil na petih tekmah. V povprečju je na parketu preživel malo manj kot 24 minut, v tem času pa dosegal 11,0 točk, 7,2 skoka in 4,8 asistence.
