EL: Crvena zvezda Meridianbet prevail over Baskonia in a thrilling finish

Crvena zvezda Meridianbet scored a huge road win in Round 19 of the 2024/25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague regular season as they defeated Baskonia 75:73.

This was the 3^rd consecutive win for the Belgrade giant in this competition and they have improved their season score to 11-8. At this moment, the red-and-whites hold the 7^th place on the standings.

Crvena zvezda Meridianbet had a 14-point lead at the halftime – 42:28, while their biggest lead in this match was 17 points – 57:40. Still, the red-and-whites did not play well in the 2^nd half and they let Baskonia not just to melt the gap, but to take over the lead - 73:71, with less than 2 minutes left on the game clock.

And then, Isaiah Canaan stepped up for the Belgrade team. Canaan firstly scored a lay-up to tie the score at 73:73, while after Crvena zvezda Meridianbet defended their basket in the following play, Canaan made another lay-up to put his team in the front – 75:73.

With just 3 seconds left on the game clock, Zvezda have successfully defended their basket once again and the Belgrade troops grabbed a very valuable road win.
