Veljko Mršić is the new head coach of Split. The position was left vacant following Slaven Rimac's departure.

Veljko Mršić is the new head coach of Split. The position was left vacant following Slaven Rimac's departure.

The experienced 53-year-old coach has a rich career, and he arrives at Gripe after leading Spanish team Rio Breogán for the last 3 years. Mršić began his coaching career on the bench of the Split back in 2006. Mršić saw some success as head coach of Cedevita from 2015 to 2017, in 2020 he took over as head coach of Zadar spending one season with the club, he won the Krešimir Ćosić Cup and brought the city their first national title in 13 years.  

During his playing days, Mršić spent a brief period dawning the Split jersey during the 2003/04 season.

Veljko Mršić novi je trener Splita. Iza iskusnog 53-godišnjeg trenera bogata je karijera, a na Gripe stiže nakon što je vodio španjolski Rio Breogán. Mršić je trenersku karijeru i započeo na klupi "Žutih", bio je trener još tamo 2006. godine, a dres Splita Mršić je nosio u kratkom periodu sezone 2003/04.
