Story of the game: Another regional classic is scheduled for this Sunday evening as Crvena zvezda Meridianbet will host Split in the Belgrade Arena.
Crvena zvezda Meridianbet will be looking to keep their perfect home court score against Split in the AdmiralBet ABA League as the red-and-whites have won all of their previous 11 home games against their old rivals.
On top of that, the Belgrade side will be seeking sweet revenge over their Split rivals for that defeat in the 1st part of the season when the Yellow troops stunned the reigning champions by defeating them at Gripe – 85:78.
Meanwhile, Split will try to stun their old rivals once again in this season and to therefore grab their 1st win under the helm of coach Mršić. Last week, Split suffered defeat against Budućnost VOLI on Mršić's debut - 48:83.
Crvena zvezda Meridianbet have returned on the winning path in the AdmiralBet ABA League last weekend when they defeated Mornar-Barsko zlato on the road and improved their season score to 14-3. On the other side, Split are on a 3-game losing streak in the AdmiralBet ABA League and their current overall score is 6-11.
Match-up in focus: Crvena zvezda Meridianbet sharp shooter Isaiah Canaan scored 17 points last week in the match against Mornar-Barsko zlato and therefore once again confirmed that he is playing in exceptional form lately.
Meanwhile, Split star player Shannon Shorter is the 7th best scorer of the season at the moment with 15.9 points per game.
