Nemanja Nedović was once again the hero of the Belgrade derby that was played in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague as he scored two key free throws just 1 second before the end to win the match for Crvena zvezda Meridianbet against Partizan Mozzart Bet on the road.
Two years ago, Nemanja Nedović made the clutch 3-pointer to win the first ever Euroleague clash between Partizan Mozzart Bet and Crvena zvezda Meridianbet, while this Friday evening the same player brought another sweet win for the red-and-white troops on the black-and-white court.
With the two teams all leveled at 71:71, the ball ended up in the hands of Nemanja Nedović who made a smart play, forcing Sterling Brown to make a foul on him while attempting a 3-pointer. Nedović scored the first two free throws to put Crvena zvezda Meridianbet in front – 73:71, while he then missed the 3rd one on purpose to run down the clock.
Crvena zvezda Meridianbet have therefore grabbed a sweet revenge over their arch rivals for the defeat they suffered against Partizan Mozzart Bet in the first part of the 2024/25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague regular season.
Crvena zvezda Meridianbet now have the overall score of 14-10, while Partizan Mozzart Bet are at 12-12.
