Budućnost VOLI have won their 17th Montenegrin National Cup after beating their city rivals SC Derby in a thrilling Final.

Budućnost VOLI have won their 17th Montenegrin National Cup after beating their city rivals SC Derby in a thrilling Final.

The two sides entered the last minute of the game all tied at 101:101, while then McKinley Wright IV "put on a cape" and became the hero of the blue-and-white team one more time in this season. Wright firstly scored 2 free throws to put his team in front – 103:101, while after SC Derby guard Luka Bogavac missed a 3-pointer on the other side of the court, McKinley Wright IV once again got fouled and he once again made both free throws to seal the win for Budućnost VOLI – 105:101.

In the last moments of the game, SC Derby forward Zoran Vučeljić hit the 3-pointer, but only to reduce the final margin – 105:104.

Budućnost VOLI hero McKinley Wright IV scored 34 points in the Final, while on the other side Erick Neal made 30 points for SC Derby.
