Vojvodina mts pull off a stunning last quarter comeback to prevail over Cedevita Junior in Zagreb

Vojvodina mts have prevailed over Cedevita Junior on the road in Zagreb after a major comeback in the last quarter of the Round 3 game in the Top 8 of the NLB ABA League 2 season.

It has been a game in which the hosts have been dictating the tempo for the majority of the playing time. They have been in front by 6 points after the first quarter, by 3 at halftime and by 6 again when heading into the final quarter.

Their advantage reached its peak in the 33rd minute of the game, when Josip Sobin scored to give his team a 13-point advantage (70:57) and that’s when it seemed like Cedevita Junior would grab a big win over the Novi Sad rivals. However, that’s when Vojvodina went on a 17:1 run, that was complete with a 3-pointer by Tyrell Johnson, that put his team up by 3 points (71:74) with a minute and a half to go in the game.

As it turned out, this was a crucial run, as Cedevita Junior did not manage to turn the game upside-down again, even though Martin Jelić fired from the 3-point range in the dying seconds of the game to try and force overtime, but he missed and Vojvodina mts squad celebrated.
