NLB Wheel League: Parasport Slovenia are the 2024/25 season champions

Parasport Slovenia are the new NLB Wheel League champions. The squad, led from the bench by head coach Žiga Kobaševič, has prevailed over KKI Vrbas of Banja Luka in front of 700 fans in Tivoli Sports Hall in the Final. After being down in the opening half (33:41), the Slovenian players have won both third (24:11) and fourth quarters (22:18) to celebrate in the end with the score of 79:70. 

The third place went to KK OSI Paramont, that prevailed 90:83 over KIK Zmaj, while KIK Una Sana have defeated Parasport Croatia 67:52 in the fifth place game.

The proper cooperation between the NLB Wheel League and ABA League j.t.d. and its clubs continues and therefore, in cooperation with the ABA League, Cedevita Olimpija players Žiga Daneu, Bine Prepelič and Mark Morano Mahmutovič have attended the tournament and handed the individual awards to the players in the NLB Wheel League.

In the season, that is the 17th in the entire NLB Wheel League history, there are six teams from four countries competing: KK Osi Paramont (Montenegro), KKI Vrbas, KIK Zmaj Gradačac and KIK Una Sana (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Parasport Croatia (Croatia) and Parasport Slovenia (Slovenia).

Special guests at the tournament will be Dario Novalić, the BiH ambassador in Slovenia, Boris Grgić, the ambassador of Croatia in Slovenia, and Dragan Tufegdžić, the ambassador of Montenegro in Slovenia.

Four tournaments took place in the Regular Season – in Podgorica, Zagreb, Bihać and Gradačac. Parasport Slovenia took the first place in Regular Season and they have been followed by KKI Vrbas, KK OSI Paramont and KIK Zmaj. At the Semi-final tournament in Banja Luka, Parasport Slovenia and KKI Vrbas got through to the Final, while KK OSI Paramont and KIK Zmaj will be facing for the third place and Parasport Croatia and KIK Una Sana for 5th place.
