Ebuka Izundu returns to Belgrade after signing a deal with Crvena zvezda Meridianbet

Crvena zvezda Meridianbet has strengthened its frontcourt for the upcoming season by signing Nigerian center Ebuka Izundu. The 208 cm tall former FMP Soccerbet player joins the Belgrade-based team on a two-year deal (1+1) and brings with him both international experience and a strong presence in the paint.

Izundu had a standout 2023–24 campaign with Galatasaray, playing a key role in the club’s run to the FIBA Basketball Champions League final. Known for his rebounding ability, physicality, and athleticism, he was among the top performers in both the Turkish league and the BCL, particularly excelling in double-double performances.

Izundu spent 3 seasons representing FMP Soccerbet, he played 66 games in the AdmiralBet ABA League for the Panthers, putting up 8 points and 5 rebounds per game. 

The 28-year-old was born in Lagos, Nigeria, and played college basketball at the University of Miami. Since turning professional, he has played for several European clubs including Real Betis (Spain), SIG Strasbourg (France), FMP Soccerbet (Serbia), EWE Baskets Oldenburg (Germany), and most recently, Galatasaray (Turkey).

With this addition, Crvena zvezda Meridianbet adds depth and experience to its center rotation as it prepares for the new season.

Ebuka Izundu novo pojačanje pod košem Crvene zvezde!

Jedan od najboljih skakača FIBA Lige Šampiona i turske lige potpisao je u nedelju dvogodišnji ugovor (1+1) sa Crvenom zvezdom.

Ebuka Izundu je visok 208 centimetara, težak 105 kilograma i odlikuje ga velika snaga pod košem, odlična skočnost i velika borbenost. Nekadašnji student prestižnog koledž programa Majami Gators, predvodio je FIBA Ligu šampiona po broju dabl-dabl učinaka prošle sezone.

Rođen je u Lagosu, a profesionalnu košarku igrao je Real Betisu, Strazburu, FMP-u, nemačkog Oldenburgu i konačno Galatasaraju u kome je imao odličnu sezonu u kojoj je bio jedan od najzaslužnijih za plasman tog tima u finale FIBA LIge Šampiona.
