He is the ninth addition for Dubai Basketball’s 2025/26 season under Head Coach Jurica Golemac, following the arrivals of Musa, Avramović, Wright IV, Kamenjaš, Jaiteh, Bacon, Anderson, and Kabengele.

Filip Petrušev is a skilled front man who brings incredible versatility to the frontcourt. He combines solid post moves with reliable mid-range shots and the ability to stretch the floor.

In the 2024/25 EuroLeague season with Crvena zvezda Meridianbet, Petrušev averaged 14.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, and a 16.5 Performamce Index Rating. Simultaneously in the ABA League, he was selected in the league’s Best Five, alongside his now teammates Wright and Kamenjaš. He averaged 13.6 points and 5 rebounds per game in just 21 minutes of action per game.

Still only 25 years old, Petrušev has already played 110 games in top-tier club competitions, bringing both youth and experience to Dubai’s EuroLeague debut.

Petrušev spent two seasons at Gonzaga University in the USA (2018–2020) before returning to Europe to play for Mega SoccerBet in Belgrade. He stood out on the Serbian team with 23.6 points per game and then moved to Anadolu Efes Istanbul for the 2021/22 season.

After a year in Turkey, he returned to Serbia and signed with Crvena Zvezda for the 2022/23 season, where he recorded a strong EuroLeague campaign with 10.7 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.

His season performance attracted the attention of Olympiacos Piraeus, who brought him to Athens.

However, he saw limited playing time and ended the 2024/25 season on loan at Crvena zvezda, where he had an outstanding year in both the EuroLeague and ABA League.
