Mega Superbet has officially started their preparations for the upcoming 2025/26 season, maintaining the club’s tradition of being among the first teams to open training camp.
Following medical and fitness testing over the weekend, head coach Vule Avdalović held the team’s first practice session, attended by Abdramane Sibi, Aleksa Milenković, Andrej Mušicki, Asim Đulović, Marko Vukčević, Ognjen Nikolić, Savo Drezgić, Urban Kroflič, Vuk Danilović, and Vuk Radojičić.
The roster will soon be reinforced by Bogoljub Marković, Lazar Gačić and Luiđi Suigo, as well as Ognjen Srzentić, who is currently competing with Serbia’s U18 national team at the European Championship in Belgrade.
This season will be Avdalović’s first as head coach of Mega’s senior team. His coaching staff has been finalized, with former Mega player Aleksandar Rašić appointed as team manager after previously working with Avdalović at OKK Beograd. Milan Mitrović joins as an assistant coach, while Branislav Božović continues in the same role for a third straight year.
Mladen Teofilović will oversee physical preparation, having worked alongside Avdalović with Serbia’s junior national team in recent years. He replaces Pavle Tasić in this role. The medical staff remains unchanged and includes physiotherapists Miloš Savić and Vanja Radojević, along with doctors Uroš Stanković and Boris Ukropina.
Mega’s preparations will take place in Belgrade before the team departs for Puerto Rico, where they will spend a week from August 5 to 12. During that period, they are scheduled to play two friendly games in San Juan against Indiana University on August 9 and 11.
Mega Superbet will begin their ABA League campaign in the first week of October. Under the new competition format, the team will compete in Group B alongside BC Vienna, Crvena zvezda Meridianbet, Budućnost VOLI, Cedevita Olimpija, Spartak Office Shoes, Bosna Visit Sarajevo, Zadar and Ilirija.
