EuroBasket 2025: Nurkić Leads BiH to a Convincing Win Over Cyprus, Slovenia Defeated by Poland, despite Dončić’s stellar performance

In their opening games of the EuroBasket 2025 tournament, Bosnia and Herzegovina have prevailed over Cyprus, while Slovenia have suffered a defeat by Poland.

In Group C, Bosnia and Herzegovina have demonstrated a convincing performance to show off Cyprus in the first game of the two squads at the tournament. The Bosnia and Herzegovina squad have been in front by 10 points already at the end of the first quarter and by 21 by halftime. In the second half, they have calmly cruised to a comfortable win in the end with the final score of 91:64. For the winning side, Jusuf Nurkić led the way in scoring with 18 points on his record, while Amar Alibegović, Amar Gegić and Adin Vrabac added 10 apiece.

In their first game of the EuroBasket 2025 tournament, Slovenia suffered a defeat by the Group D hosts Poland in Katowice with the final score of 105:95 after the hosts have been in front for quite a majority of the playing time. In the end, Luka Dončić led the way in scoring for Slovenia National team with 34 points on his record, while Edo Murić added 17 points.
