EuroBasket 2025: Serbia still perfect, first win for Montenegro

Serbia and Montenegro both scored important wins in Round 4 of the Group Stage at the 2025 FIBA EuroBasket.

Serbia continued their dominant run at the 2025 FIBA EuroBasket, securing their fourth consecutive group-stage victory with a commanding 82:60 triumph over the Czech Republic. The contest was practically decided in the opening 10 minutes, as Serbia stormed to a remarkable 27:5 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.

New Dubai Basketball tandem Aleksa Avramović (14 points) and Filip Petrušev (13 points) led the way in scoring, further highlighting their importance for the Serbian squad. With this result, Serbia remains perfect in the tournament, boasting a 4-0 record and firmly positioned as one of the title contenders.

Montenegro, meanwhile, scored their first win at EuroBasket 2025, defeating Sweden 87:81 in a thrilling battle that went down to the wire. The Montenegrins showcased excellent offensive teamwork, with six players reaching double digits. Star center Nikola Vučević dominated with 23 points and 15 rebounds, while Spartak Office Shoes summer signing Igor Drobnjak added 15 points. Kyle Allman, Emir Hadžibegović, Vladimir Mihailović, and Marko Simonović each contributed 10 points to secure the much-needed victory.
