From there, Dubai quickly regained control behind the strong performances of Mfiondu Kabengele, Dwayne Bacon, and Džanan Musa, finishing the third quarter up by 12 and pushing the margin to 20 points in the final period. Dubai Basketball then calmly closed the game to secure a truly historic win.

In Belgrade, Crvena zvezda Meridianbet could not celebrate in their EuroLeague opener, falling at home to Italian powerhouse EA7 Emporio Armani Milan.
