Lazar Stefanović joins FMP

Talented guard Lazar Stefanović (201 cm, 23 years old) is the newest addition to the Panthers.

He arrives from college basketball, where he successfully played for the prestigious University of Utah and UCLA. Over the course of four NCAA seasons, Stefanović averaged 8.5 points and 4 rebounds per game, while shooting 35 percent from beyond the arc.

After coming through the youth system of Partizan, where he also made his first professional appearance, Stefanović continued his development at Mladost Zemun before moving to the United States. He also represented Serbia at the U16 European Championship (2018) and the U19 World Cup (2021). In both age categories, he was among the team leaders, averaging 12.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists across seven games at the 2021 World Cup.

Before signing with FMP, Stefanović made his debut in the NBA Summer League as a member of the Orlando Magic. Considered one of the biggest talents of his generation, there is no doubt that the Panthers have secured a major reinforcement for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.

Talentovani bek Lazar Stefanović (201, 23) novo je pojačanje Pantera. On dolazi sa koledža gde je sa mnogo uspeha nastupao za prestižne univerzitete Juta i UCLA. Naime, prosečno je za četiri sezone beležio u proseku 8.5 poena i četiri skoka uz 35 odsto šuta za tri.

Nakon mlađih kategorija Partizana, gde je zabeležio i prvi profesionalni nastup, preko Mladosti iz Zemuna karijeru je gradio u pomenutim Sjedinjenim državama. Takođe, nastupao je veoma uspešno za reprezentaciju Srbije do 16 godina (Eurobasket 2018) i do 19 godine (Svetsko prvenstvo 2021). U obe generacije bio je jedan od lidera ekipe, a 2021. je na sedam utakmica imao prosečno na svom kontu 12.4 poena, 4.3 skoka i 2.4 asistencije.

Stefanović je uoči potpisa za FMP zabeležio i debi u NBA letnjoj ligi za ekipu Orlanda. Sa pravom se smatra jednim od najvećih talenata svoje generacije i s toga nema sumnje da su Panteri dobili značajno pojačanje za nastavak sezone 2025/26.
