EC: Cedevita Olimpija stay perfect, Budućnost VOLI suffer home defeat in BKT EuroCup action

Two AdmiralBet ABA League teams were in action tonight in the 2025/26 BKT EuroCup, and while Cedevita Olimpija continued their winning streak, Budućnost VOLI suffered a tough loss on home court.

Cedevita Olimpija make a huge comeback in Belgrade

The Ljubljana side remain unbeaten in this season’s BKT EuroCup after defeating Hapoel Jerusalem on the road in Belgrade – 99:86. Despite being down by 11 points at halftime, Cedevita Olimpija put on a second-half masterclass, scoring an incredible 57 points to completely turn the game around.

The third quarter was the turning point, as the Dragons dominated with a 30:13 run, before sealing the win in the fourth (27:18).

DJ Stewart was unstoppable, finishing the night with 27 points and an index rating of 41, while the backcourt duo of Aleksej Nikolić (22 points) and Umoja Gibson (21 points) added major offensive firepower.

With this result, Cedevita Olimpija move to 2-0 in the 2025/26 BKT EuroCup regular season.

Budućnost VOLI fall short against Trento in Podgorica

After losing their AdmiralBet ABA League opener against Spartak Office Shoes, Budućnost VOLI were unable to bounce back in Europe, suffering a disappointing 96:107 home defeat against Dolomiti Energia Trento.

The Podgorica team had a 3-point advantage at halftime, but their performance collapsed in the third quarter, which they lost 12:30, allowing Trento to take full control of the game.

Skylar Mays stood out once again for Budućnost VOLI with 22 points and an index rating of 29, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide.

Budućnost VOLI now stand at 1-1 after two rounds of the 2025/26 BKT EuroCup regular season.
