Dubai Basketball Adds Australian Guard Taran Armstrong to the Roster
Dubai Basketball is thrilled to announce the signing of Taran Armstrong, a 196 cm, 23-year-old Australian point guard known for his playmaking and scoring ability. Armstrong joins the squad on a one-year deal, with an optional second year.

Taran Armstrong brings solid experience from his time in Australia’s NBL (with Cairns Taipans) and his stint in the NBA G League with the Santa Cruz Warriors.
During the 2024–25 season, Armstrong averaged 17.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game for the Cairns Taipans in the NBL, shooting 46.1% from the field and 35.1% from three.
In his stint with the Santa Cruz Warriors in the NBA G League, he posted 11.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 7.9 assists per game, further proving his all-around impact as a versatile floor general.
The Australian guard joins a growing and ambitious project in Dubai, bringing his energy, and creativity to the team as it continues to build its identity across competitions. Armstrong has joined the team in Athens but will not be available for the game against Olympiacos.
