EL: Crvena zvezda Meridianbet wins on the road, Dubai Basketball defeated

Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet and Dubai Basketball were both in action in the third round of the 2025/26 EuroLeague.

Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet pulled off a remarkable road victory against reigning champions Fenerbahce Beko, winning 81-86. The Serbian side never trailed in the game, extending their streak of regular-season road wins over Fenerbahce to three consecutive seasons. Interim coach Tomislav Tomovic, making his debut, guided the team to a confident performance.

Chima Moneke starred with 20 points, 12 rebounds, and 2 blocks, while Donatas Motiejunas made an immediate impact in his first appearance with 13 points and six rebounds. Tyson Carter added 15 points to secure the upset. For Fenerbahce, Talen Horton-Tucker and Bonzie Colson each scored 19 points, with Mikael Jantunen adding 15, but it wasn’t enough to stop Zvezda. The victory gives Crvena Zvezda their first win of the season, moving to a 1-2 record.

Dubai Basketball, meanwhile, faced a tough outing at Olympiacos Piraeus, falling 86-67. The AdmiralBet ABA League team competed well early, but a 12-1 run by the home team, fueled by Tyler Dorsey’s three-pointers, put Olympiacos in control. Sasha Vezenkov added 13 quick points in the third quarter to widen the gap.

Filip Petrusev led Dubai with 14 points, while Dwayne Bacon contributed 13, but it wasn’t enough to challenge the Greek side. Dubai now sits at 1-2 on the season. Olympiacos Piraeus improved to 2-1 with the win.
