2025/26 AdmiralBet ABA League Group A Round 3, Sunday, 19 October 2025:

SC DERBY - SPLIT

Where? Morača Sports Center, Podgorica

When? 21:00

Story of the Game: Sunday’s AdmiralBet ABA League action will close with a matchup between two teams still chasing their first win of the 2025/26 season. SC Derby and Split are both sitting at 0-2, yet both have shown plenty of potential and fighting spirit in their opening games. Now, as they face each other in Podgorica, one of them will finally celebrate a long-awaited victory.

SC Derby have been close but unlucky in the first two rounds. They suffered a narrow home loss to Borac Mozzart, followed by another tight defeat on the road against FMP Soccerbet. With those experiences behind them, they now hope that “third time’s the charm” and that their effort will finally be rewarded in front of their home fans.

Split, meanwhile, had arguably one of the toughest schedules imaginable to start the season - facing two EuroLeague powerhouses right out of the gate. They opened with a heavy road defeat against Dubai Basketball, then put up a brave fight against Partizan Mozzart Bet at home, staying close until the final minutes. Despite the 0-2 record, the Yellow team showed resilience and competitive fire, proving they can go toe-to-toe with elite opposition.

The matchup returns to familiar territory - Podgorica, where SC Derby have been dominant in previous duels. The home side have triumphed in three of their four AdmiralBet ABA League encounters against Split, which gives them an added dose of confidence going into this one. Still, Split have shown enough to suggest they can challenge that record if they find rhythm early.

Match-Up in Focus: Darius Johnson vs. Teyvon Myers.

The battle of the point guards could shape the entire game. Darius Johnson has been one of SC Derby’s most consistent performers so far, scoring in double digits in both games. Across from him, Teyvon Myers was unstoppable against Partizan Mozzart Bet, dropping 23 points and showing his scoring instincts are in full swing.

Head-to-head in ABA: In total 6:2; In Podgorica 3:1.
