EC: Budućnost VOLI Shine in Lithuania, Cedevita Olimpija Fall Short in Ljubljana

The Podgorica side claimed their second consecutive EuroCup victory, and they did it in impressive fashion - by putting up 98 points on the road. Budućnost VOLI displayed offensive brilliance throughout the night, with their teamwork and shooting efficiency standing out.

The key stretch came in the second quarter, where Budućnost VOLI outscored their opponents 32:22, overturning the early deficit and taking full control of the match. From that point onward, the Podgorica powerhouse stayed composed, responding to every Lietkabelis attempt to get back in the game.

Five players finished the game in double digits, showing the depth of Budućnost’s roster, while Juwan Morgan stood out as the man of the match, scoring 17 points and recording an impressive index rating of 30.

Meanwhile, Cedevita Olimpija disappointed their fans in Ljubljana, suffering a 91:94 home defeat against Neptunas. The Dragons struggled to find their rhythm, trailing for most of the game, yet they still had a golden opportunity to snatch the win in the dying moments.

In the final seconds, with the score at 91:93, Cedevita Olimpija made a crucial defensive steal right under the Neptunas basket - but the moment of hope turned into heartbreak, as Gibson’s pass went out of bounds, wasting the team’s last chance for victory.

Both Budućnost VOLI and Cedevita Olimpija now have the overall score of 3-2.
