EC: Win for Budućnost VOLI, defeat for U-BT Cluj-Napoca

In the Round 8 of the BKT EuroCup Regular Season, Budućnost VOLI have edged out ratiopharm Ulm at home in Morača Sports Hall, while U-BT Cluj-Napoca suffered defeat by Hapoel of Jerusalem.

Budućnost VOLI keep on grinding in BKT EuroCup! The Podgorica side have recorded a big win over ratiopharm Ulm at home in their Morača Sports Hall in Round 8 of the season in the European competition. In a clash, where the blue and white have been a dominant force on the court all game long, they prevailed in the end with the final score of 101:71. This time around, it has been Rasheed Sulaimon that topped the list of scorers for the game hosts. He has been followed by Oleksandr Kovliar, who contributed 13 points.

At home in their BT Arena, U-BT Cluj-Napoca have suffered a defeat by Hapoel of Jerusalem, after having been down for the majority of the playing time. The hosts were behind by 17 points after the opening quarter and by 15 at halftime. In the second half, they even managed to tie the game for a short period of time, before falling behind again in the final quarter, when eventually the visiting side prevailed with the final score of 101:89. For Cluj-Napoca squad, it has been Mitchell Creek that led the way in scoring with 26 points on his record, while Saulius Kulvietis scored 18.

A day later, Cedevita Olimpija will be hosting Veolia Towers Hamburg at home in their Stožice Arena in Ljubljana.
