It was a night of contrasting emotions for the AdmiralBet ABA League representatives in the FIBA Champions League, as Spartak Office Shoes celebrated a huge achievement by securing their place in the next stage, while Igokea m:tel saw their hopes of progressing officially come to an end.
In Subotica, Spartak Office Shoes delivered a statement performance, defeating SL Benfica at home with a commanding 99:69 victory. The Subotica side entered the game knowing that a win would lock them into 2nd place in their group and they responded with focus, energy, and with one their most complete displays of the season.
By halftime, Spartak were already in control with a double-digit lead, dictating the rhythm and leaving Benfica struggling to keep up. The breakthrough moment came in the 3rd quarter. Spartak exploded for a 30:16 run, completely breaking the visitors’ resistance and effectively sealing the win long before the final buzzer.
With this victory, Spartak Office Shoes clinched the 2nd place in Group H, one round before the end of the regular season, and they will play in the Play-In stage of the 2025/26 FIBA Champions League campaign.
Unfortunately, the story was very different in Laktaši, where Igokea m:tel suffered a heavy home defeat against Würzburg - 56:85, a result that officially removed them from Play-In contention.
From the opening minutes, Igokea m:tel struggled to find stability on either end of the court. Their offense lacked flow, their defense could not contain Würzburg’s physical and aggressive approach, and the gap began to grow early. As the game progressed, the visitors only increased their pace, while Igokea could not find answers.
