EC: Cedevita Olimpija and U-BT Cluj-Napoca victorious

In the Round 9 of the BKT EuroCup season, Cedevita Olimpija and U-BT Cluj-Napoca have grabbed new victories, as they prevailed over Slask Wroclaw and Aris Thessaloniki Betsson, respectively.

At home in Stožice Arena in Ljubljana, Cedevita Olimpija have hosted Slask Wroclaw in the Round 9 of the BKT EuroCup and achieved their 7th win of the season on the European courts. It has been a game, where the Dragons have made the crucial difference already in the opening half. They have been up by 5 points (24:19) after the first half and by 19 at the big break (61:42). In the remainder of the game they managed to cruise towards the win in the end with the final score of 108:74. For Cedevita Olimpija, Umoja Gibson had 19 points and Aleksej Nikolić scored 17.

U-BT Cluj-Napoca have faced Aris Thessaloniki Betsson on the road in Thessaloniki and after a comeback in the second half, managed to get away with their 5th win of the season, alongside 4 defeats collected so far and the Romanian side are now on a positive win-loss ratio. After being down by 3 points at halftime, U-BT Cluj-Napoca bounced back in the second half and emerged victorious with the final score of 98:88.  For the Romanian side, Mitchell Creek led the way in scoring with 27 points on his record, while Iverson Molinar contributed 18 points.

A day later, Budućnost VOLI will face JL Bourg-En-Bresse on the road in France.
