Story of the game: In the opening game of the AdmiralBet ABA Leauge Round 15, Krka will be hosting FMP at home in their Leon Štukelj Sports Hall in Novo mesto.
It will be a clash of two sides that look destined at the moment of finding themselves in the Play-out stage of the competition, while they still have not lost their hope of qualifying for the Top 8 either. FMP are currently still keeping their chances of reaching the Top 8 stage open, but to achieve that, they need to be winning steadily in the remaining games, while hoping for defeats of Igokea m:tel in almost every remaining game until the end of the Regular Season. On the other side, Krka also still have mathematical chances alive, but to be able to achieve an almost miraculous breakthrough to the Top 8 Zone by the end of the Regular Season, they would need to win every remaining game until the end of the Regular Season, while hoping for a defeat by Igokea m:tel in every remaining game.
So it is clear that the stakes are high for both teams. Not just because of the Top 8 race, but also because points transfer to the second stage of the competition, shall they find themselves both in the same group later.
