Petar Popović Strengthens Perspektiva Ilirija
Perspektiva Ilirija have officially unveiled a new signing ahead of the remainder of the season – Petar Popović, who arrives in Ljubljana from Igokea m:tel.

The 29-year-old Montenegrin guard, capable of playing both point guard and shooting guard, joins Perspektiva Ilirija with extensive experience competing at the highest level.
For most of his career, he played for Budućnost Podgorica, with whom he won the ABA League title as well as several Montenegrin league and cup championships. In recent seasons, he has also played for FMP and Igokea and has been a regular participant in the AdmiralBet ABA League.
Petar Popović has been a member of Montenegro’s junior national teams as well as the senior national team. In 2013, he won a gold medal at the FIBA U18 European Championship Division B with the under-18 national team. With his height, experience, and understanding of the game, he will be an important addition to the Ljubljana-based team.

Perspektiva Ilirija je uradno predstavila novo okrepitev pred nadaljevanjem sezone – Petra Popovića, ki v Ljubljano prihaja iz Igokee m:tel.
29-letni črnogorski branilec, ki igra na položajih organizatorja igre in branilca strelca, prihaja v Perspektiva Ilirijo z bogatimi izkušnjami igranja na najvišji ravni.
V večjem delu kariere je nastopal za Budućnost iz Podgorice, s katero je osvojil naslov prvaka ABA lige ter več naslovov državnega in pokalnega prvaka Črne gore. V zadnjih sezonah je igral še za FMP in Igokeo ter redno nastopal v AdmiralBet Ligi ABA.
Popović je bil član mlajših reprezentančnih selekcij in članske reprezentance Črne gore. Z reprezentanco do 18 let je leta 2013 osvojil zlato medaljo na evropskem prvenstvu divizije B. S svojo višino, izkušnjami in razumevanjem igre bo pomembna okrepitev za ljubljansko ekipo.
