EL: Dubai Shine in Overtime, Zvezda Dominate Defensively, Partizan Lose at the Buzzer

Two out of three AdmiralBet ABA League representatives closed tonight’s EuroLeague action with victories, highlighted by a historic night in Dubai and another defensive masterclass in Belgrade.

The first team to take the floor - and to celebrate - were Dubai Basketball, who produced a spectacular home win against Olympiacos after an epic overtime thriller. Dubai Basketball looked to have the game under control late in the fourth quarter, but Evan Fournier spoiled the party by drilling a three-pointer at the final buzzer to force overtime at 95:95. Olympiacos struck first in the extra period to go up 98:95, yet that basket only ignited the home side. Dubai Basketball responded with a stunning 13:0 run in overtime, completely turning the momentum and sealing a remarkable 108:98 victory in front of their crowd.

Later in the evening, Crvena zvezda Meridianbet extended their red-hot EuroLeague form with a convincing home win over Hapoel Tel Aviv. The Belgrade side once again leaned on their defensive identity, delivering a dominant fourth quarter in which they allowed just five points. That effort proved decisive as Crvena zvezda Meridianbet cruised to an 87:75 win, marking their fifth consecutive victory in EuroLeague play.

Unfortunately, the night ended in heartbreak for Partizan Mozzart Bet, who suffered a dramatic road defeat against Maccabi Tel Aviv. Partizan appeared to be in control late on, holding a 91:88 lead, but Maccabi Tel Aviv mounted a late comeback and completed the turnaround with a two-pointer at the final buzzer for a 95:93 win.

Following tonight’s results, Crvena zvezda Meridianbet have improved their overall record to 16-10, Dubai Basketball now stand at 12-14, while Partizan Mozzart Bet dropped to 8-18 in the EuroLeague standings.
