EL: Partizan claim Belgrade derby, Dubai back on winning track

Two thrilling outcomes marked today’s EuroLeague action, as Partizan Mozzart Bet extended their winning streak with a road win in the Belgrade derby, while Dubai Basketball returned to the winning path with a strong home performance in Sarajevo.

In the biggest derby of the night, Partizan Mozzart Bet defeated arch rivals Crvena zvezda Meridianbet on the road, 89:82, to record their 6th consecutive win in the EuroLeague.

Partizan were the better side for most of the night, controlling the tempo and executing with confidence on both ends of the floor. Led by Sterling Brown, who delivered one of his best performances of the season, the black-and-whites built a crucial double-digit lead midway through the 4th quarter - 80:65.

However, Zvezda refused to go down without a fight. Powered by Codi Miller-McIntyre, the red-and-whites mounted a fierce comeback and cut the deficit to just three points - 82:79 - at the start of the final minute.

Still, Partizan had the final word. Jared Butler missed a chance to bring Zvezda even closer, while on the other end Carlik Jones delivered the decisive blow with a clutch and-one lay-up that sealed the deal for the visitors.

Crvena zvezda Meridianbet now stand at 19-16, while Partizan Mozzart Bet improved to 15-20.

Meanwhile, in Sarajevo, Dubai Basketball got back on the winning track by defeating AS Monaco 101:91.

Dubai delivered a strong offensive display, led by a spectacular performance from Džanan Musa, who dominated the game with 25 points and 10 assists for an outstanding index rating of 38.

He had major support in McKinley Wright IV, who scored 23 points, including six consecutive points late in the 4th quarter that proved crucial in securing the win.

With this triumph, Dubai Basketball move to an overall score of 18-17.
