Game recap: Cibona stay in touch with the top of the ABA League standings after claiming the fourth victory in the opening five games, by outplaying Karpoš Sokoli at home in Dražen Petrović Basketball Centre. The game was not too exciting, since the Wolves pulled away early in the game and did not allow the Falcons to return into the battle for two points until the very end. Karpoš Sokoli therefore remain winless at the very bottom of the league’s standings after five games played.

Key moments: The winner was decided no later than after 10 minutes of the game. Sokoli stayed in touch with the home side until the seventh minute, when Cibona led 18:16, but then Cibosi made an 8:0 run in the minute that followed and went ahead by double digit number of points. The guests never recovered…

Man of the match: Željko Šakić was unstoppable in the first half of the game against Karpoš Sokoli and we can openly claim that he was the X-factor that turned the outcome of the game Cibona’s way. In the crucial part of the game, first half, he spent the entire 20 minutes on the court, while appearing there only for five minutes in the second half. However, his contribution was astonishing and he did the majority of the job in the first part – 23 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. At the end of the contest he had the game-high valuation of 30 and his team went ahead by 22 points while he was on court. He is our man of the match!

Can' trick the stats: With such a great field goal percentage, something very unusual should have happened to prevent Cibona from winning. They ended the game with 58%-field goal success rate (31/50 (62%) for 2 and 7/15 (47%) for 3). This is what pushed them over the opponent this time.
