Marko Tomas returns to Cedevita

It is official! Marko Tomas has returned to Cedevita after he spent one year playing abroad. 

Marko Tomas signed a contract with Cedevita until the end of the season and he will be able to make a debut already in the ABA League Round 7. This 31-year old shooting guard played for the Orange squad from 2012 to 2015, while he spent the previous season in Kolejliler, Turkey where he averaged 12 points, 3 rebounds and 1.6 assists per match.

"I am really happy to return to the club, which I consider as my home. After all, the best proof is that I was practicing with the reserve team of Cedevita, while I was waiting for some offer from abroad. Eventually, I received some offers, but I decided to reject all of them, as I was waiting for a chance to play again for Cedevita. The reason for this decision was not the financial side, as I have had better financial offers from abroad. I was guided by the sports side and by personal reasons. I believe that I can help the team achieve their goals and I am ready to play already this weekend in the match against Igokea," said Tomas.

Marko Tomas ponovno u Cedeviti

Marko Tomas vratio se u KK Cedevitu nakon jednogodišnjeg izbivanja iz kluba. Potpisao je jutros do kraja sezone i zasigurno će biti stožerni igrač kod trenera Veljka Mršića, kao što je bio i u prethodnom boravku u Cedeviti (2012-2015). Prošlu je sezonu odradio u turskom TED Kolejlileru iz Ankare za koji je odigrao 29 od mogućih 30 utakmica. Prosječno je na parketu boravio 28 minuta i za to vrijeme ubacivao 12 koševa (53% za 2, 33% za 3) uz 3 skoka i 1.6 asista. 

"Stvarno sam sretan zbog povratka u klub koji smatram svojim. Uostalom dokaz je i da sam, čekajući strani angažman, od ljeta trenirao sa momcima koji za Cedevitu igraju A-1 ligu. Imao sam ponuda ali sve sam odbio čekajući onu pravu a ova da ponovno zaigram u Cedeviti je svakako ona prava, iako ne toliko financijski jer imao sam kudikamo novčano bolje ponude, koliko iz sportskog razloga i onog osobnog. Vjerujem da ću pomoći momčadi da ostvari sve svoje ciljeve a potencijala svakako ima. Igrat ću već sutra protiv Igokee, ne treba mi nikakva prilagodba jer, kažem, dečke dobro poznajem s obzirom da u Domu košarke treniram već duže vrijeme."
