Cibona scored their 2nd win in the 2016/17 Basketball Champions League season after beating Strasbourg at home. Partizan NIS and Mornar suffered defeats.

It was very exciting in Zagreb this Wednesday evening. Cibona played a thrilling match against Strasbourg, which eventually went into overtime. In the additional 5 minutes, the Wolves were just perfect offensively, as they scored 17 points and won the match by 93:88. It was the 2nd win for Cibona in the Group D of the Basketball Champions League.

Unfortunately, other two ABA League teams who played their games this evening were not successful.

Mornar suffered close defeat against Juventus Utena in Bar, after missing a buzzer-beating three-pointer. Home side had 4 seconds to find a way through the defense of the Lithuanian team, while Antabia Waller tried to be the hero by taking a 3pts shot. He missed and Mornar lost the match by 73:75.

Partizan NIS were a worthy opponent to AEK Athens on the road, but still the black & white crew stayed empty-handed in the capital of Greece. Without Novica Velićković and Djordje Majstorović who did not travel with the team due to injuries, Partizan NIS tried to make a major break, but AEK Athens were just too strong this time.
