Both Partizan NIS and Mornar suffered defeats this Tuesday evening in the 7th round of the Basketball Champions League.

Partizan NIS played another thrilling game in this season, but this time they ended up as the losing side. The black & white crew lost the home match against Italian team Sassari after overtime. The boys coached by Aleksandar Džikić had +6 on 90 seconds before the regular time - 78:72, but eventually they were lucky enough that this match went into overtime. Simply, because Sassari player Gabriel Olaseni scored a two-pointer in the last second for 79:79, while he also got and-one, as he got fouled! However, Olaseni missed the free-throw and the game went into additional 5 minutes.

There, Sassari were up by 3 - 88:85, but the visitors made a shocking mistake, as Trevor Lacey made a foul on William Hatcher while Partizan NIS point guard was attempting a three-pointer from almost half-court! Still, Hatcher made 2 out of the 3 shots from the line for 88:87, with 4 more seconds left on the clock. Partizan NIS players therefore quickly made a foul on Rok Stipčević, who missed both free-throwns on the other side! The black & white crew made a defensive rebound, quickly pushed the ball to the other end, but Branislav Ratkovica missed a buzzer-beating three-pointer and the score remained the same - 88:87 for Sassari.

At the same time, the match between SIG Strasbourg and Mornar was not even close so exciting. The French side turned out to be a much better team this evening. SIG Strasbourg gained the crucial lead in the 2nd quarter which they won by 32:8.
