Game recap: Olimpija Ljubljana are 2:0 in the derby games against their arch local rivals Krka, since after their first triumph against the Novo mesto side in Stožice, they have now triumphed also in the Leon Štukelj Hall and are carrying home the two points. This win strengthens the position of the Ljubljana squad in the upper half of the standings, while Krka stay only one win away from the relegation zone.

Key moments: The key difference between the two sides emerged between 16th and 19th minute of the game, when the visiting team converted their 26:25 lead into a 39:25 advantage with a 13:0 run. Krka did manage to return into the battle for 2 points and even managed to get in font at one point in 35th minute (58:56), but they quickly fell behind again. Over the next four minutes Nikola Janković scored 5 points and Devin Oliver added 2 for Olimpija to create a 7:0 run and eventually enter the last minute with a 3-point lead (63:60). Krka tried to turn the game around with quick fouls, but the guests were accurate from the free-throw line.

Man of the match: Not only was Nikola Janković the key figure in re-gaining Olimpija’s lead late in the game, but he also carried his team forward during the entire game. He was the top scorer of the guests with 16 points, while adding 6 rebound and 1 assist, steal and block each. His total valuation was a game-high 21 and he is our man of the match.

Can't trick the stats: Since the margin in the end was small it is logical that the difference between the two sides in statistical categories were not many. However, Olimpija did stand out in 3-point shoting (29% in comparison with only 12% of Krka) and this influenced the final outcome.
