Game recap: Budućnost VOLI are now only a step away from securing themselves a Playoffs spot for this season, after they did an enormous job by beating their direct competitor for one of the remaining spots, Cibona on the road in Zagreb. Ilias Zouros’ squad are now four triumphs ahead of fifth placed Cibona and with five rounds remaining in the regular season it is clear that a miracle would be necessary for them not to qualify for the top four.

Key moments: After a tied first half (49:49), Budućnost pulled away in the opening two minutes of the second one, when their 8:0 run gave them a 57:49 lead. The home side never managed to come in front again until the end of the game.

Man of the match: He finally got his chance to reveal his potential on the big scene tonight and only 20-year old Aleksa Ilić for sure impressed everyone. The Budućnost VOLI forward ended the game in Zagreb with 14 points, 3 rebounds, just as many blocks and one assist and steal each. His valuation was a game high of 21 in just as many minutes spent on court and he is our man of the match!

Can't trick the stats: The assists/turnovers ratio was the thing that pushed the game Budućnost VOLI’s way. The Podgorica side had 21 assists and only 16 turnovers, in comparison with 17 assists and 19 turnovers by Cibona.
