10th Montenegrin cup trophy for Budućnost VOLI

Budućnost VOLI have conquered the competition in the Montenegrin National Cup for the tenth time in history by edging out Mornar in the final.

The Podgorica side have done a huge job no later than in the opening quarter, when they took a 9-point lead. Mornar bounced back in the second half and even took the lead at the beginning of the last quarter. However, Budućnost VOLI managed to get back in front once again and scored a 72:68 triumph in the end. Suad Šehović and Nemanja Gordić led the way in scoring for the cup winners with 15 points, while Boris Bakić was the top scorer of Mornar with 17 and he was followed by Lamont Jones, who added 16.

On their way to the final, Budućnost VOLI beat Primorje 1945 in the quarter-finals with the score of 83:36 and Lovćen in the semi-finals with the score of 79:49.

This is the tenth Montenegrin national cup trophy for the side from Morača and fourth consecutive.
