Zvezda did not qualify for the Euroleague Playoffs

The 2016/17 Euroleague journey of Crvena zvezda mts has come to the end. Unfortunately, the boys in red & white jerseys failed to make the Playoffs as they suffered a road defeat against Darussafaka Dogus in the final round of the Euroleague Regular Season.

Therefore, Darussafaka Dogus have claimed the last Playoffs ticket, while Crvena zvezda mts have finished the season at the 9th place on the standings.

Zvezda did not open this match on the proper way, as they were down by 10:0 already after couple of minutes. During the rest of the match, they really gave everything they got to make a comeback, but they only managed to reduce the margin to 3 points – 52:49. The Belgrade side even had a ball possesion and a chance to tie the score, but they failed to make a basket.

After that Darussafaka have once again took control over the match and increased the pace significantly in the last quarter. The Turkish team won that period by 23:13 and won the match as well.
