Budućnost VOLI have taken the lead in the 2016/17 Montenegrin Championship Finals after beating Mornar in Game 1 in Podgorica.

Budućnost VOLI have taken the lead in the 2016/17 Montenegrin Championship Finals after beating Mornar in Game 1 in Podgorica.

The final score might trick you that the home side had an easy job, but it was not the case. Budućnost VOLI have been in front during the whole game, but Mornar managed to reduce the margin to just 5 points in the opening minutes of the final quarter – 63:58.

However, Budućnost VOLI reacted by making 12:2 run and escaping to 75:60. Then it was clear that the Blue squad will win this match.

The final series is being played in “best of five” format, which means that whoever scores 3 wins will become the new champion of Montenegro.
